EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a gentle yet powerful method that involves tapping on specific pressure points on the face and upper body. Often referred to as “tapping,” EFT combines elements of various psychotherapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. It uses self-applied acupressure to help release physical, emotional, and psychological blockages.
EFT is also known as "psychological acupressure" because the tapping points correspond to the same meridians used in traditional acupuncture. The firm but gentle tapping stimulates these meridians to release "blocked energy" and restore balance within the body’s energy system. Many people store unresolved emotions in their bodies, and tapping on these meridians can help release those emotions and reprogram the subconscious mind.
EFT is a simple and effective technique for reducing stress and calming the nervous system. It has been shown to help with issues such as cravings, phobias, relationship challenges, sleep disturbances, and weight loss. As an easy self-help tool, EFT helps manage emotional balance on a daily basis. When working with an Accredited, Certified EFT Practitioner, you can safely explore deeper emotional layers and past experiences, receiving the support needed to address challenges that may be difficult to tackle alone.
Fear and negative beliefs are often the main barriers to reaching our goals. We work to shift these limiting beliefs, allowing you to tap into your true potential.
Stressful experiences can create blocks and disturbances in the body's energy system leading to unwanted emotional reactions. Tapping can help to reduce the intensity and find acceptance.
EFT can be applied to almost anything in life. We work together to find the unique, balanced skill set for you to realistically practice between sessions that will keep you on your path toward your goal.
